The Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC)
At The de Ferrers Academy, we have worked in partnership with the Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC) since 2018 to strengthen and continually improve our careers education programme.
The CEC is the national body for careers education in England. It supports schools and colleges to deliver high-quality careers provision by working with employers, Careers Hubs, and Enterprise Advisers. Its main focus is helping schools meet the Gatsby Benchmarks, which define best practice in careers education.
Through our partnership, we use CEC tools such as Compass+ to review our provision, work with an Enterprise Adviser, and develop meaningful employer encounters and work experience opportunities for our students.
