Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSE)
At The de Ferrers Academy, Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSE) forms an important part of our commitment to supporting students’ personal wellbeing, development and preparation for life beyond school.
RSE is delivered through our Values curriculum and taught by expert, trained teachers as part of our wider Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education programme. All content is age-appropriate, inclusive and delivered sensitively and respectfully.
Across the academic year, students participate in weekly Values lessons (fortnightly at KS4) that include focused learning on Relationships and Sex Education. These lessons support students to:
-
Develop positive, respectful and healthy relationships
-
Understand physical, emotional and social development
-
Learn about health, safety and personal wellbeing
-
Build confidence, resilience and informed decision-making skills

If you have any questions about RSE or would like further information about the curriculum, please do not hesitate to contact the academy.
