Apple RTC - Regional Training Centre

Background

The Burton-On-Trent Apple Regional Training Centre (RTC) opened at The de Ferrers Academy Trent Campus in September 2013 and during the last 9 years, over 2500 educators from across the UK and Europe have visited and taken part in our free workshops. We have also run bespoke workshops at several Midland schools, for Initial Teacher Education students at The University of Nottingham and The University of Derby and for groups of teachers from Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Vietnam and Hong Kong.

Apple Regional Training Centres deliver courses to build the skills and confidence of educators to use Apple technology inside and outside the classroom. We are a community who share best practices and inspire excellence through teaching with Apple technology. Best of all, every workshop is free.

All of our workshops are run by highly experienced teachers and focus on learning and pedagogy with digital tools, not just the technical aspects. Our trainers are all Apple Teachers and include an Apple Distinguished Educator and an Apple Professional Learning Specialist.

Across the UK and Ireland, the goals of all Apple Regional Training Centres are to:

•  Facilitate training opportunities for teachers to develop skills using Apple technology in the classroom

•  Promote Apple in Education and share new products and innovations with educators

•  Build Apple Teacher across the region

•  Share best practices, build community and inspire excellence.
