De Ferrers Academy students celebrate as they receive outstanding A-Level Results

Kathy Hardy, CEO of the de Ferrers Trust said that these results epitomise the hard work and dedication our staff and students have demonstrated all year. It is delightful to see so many happy tears.

Ali Bickle, Acting Principal, commented, ‘I am delighted by and very proud of the students’ achievements at the academy. The overall academic APS (Average Point Score) is the best it has ever been with double the number of A*/A grades achieved by students. There has been a tremendous amount of hard work from students and staff alike during some of the most challenging circumstances I have ever known. The students have been supported by a dedicated staff team and we are all extremely thankful for their efforts. The students deserve credit for their dedicated approach to their studies’. Mrs Bickle also acknowledged the support given by parents/carers and wanted to express her thanks to them.

She concluded by adding, ‘We want to wish all the students the very best in the next phase of their journeys’. She is excited to lead the academy forward next year to ensure that future students can fulfil their potential in just the same way.

Hannah Roberts, Head of the Sixth Form Campus (Vice Principal), commented ‘I am ‘absolutely delighted for our students! The results are a true testament to their resilience and hard work. I am exceptionally proud of how our students have navigated the challenges of the past two years. They have proven themselves to be adaptable, creative, independent and determined - skills which will serve them very well in the future. This fantastic set of results means that the vast majority of our students will be going onto their first choice destination. We wish all of our students the very best’.
